  25. INSTALLING CLOCKMAN
  26. ====================
  27. Installing ClockMan is simple:
  28.  
  29. 1) Run SETUP.EXE from within Windows.  Setup will let you
  30.    choose the destination directory and which parts of the
  31.    ClockMan package you wish to install (program files
  32.    only, .HLP file, updated CLOCKMAN.INI file, etc.).
  33.  
  34. 2) Run CLOCKMAN.EXE.  It comes with an alarm file already
  35.    filled with sample alarms for you to try.
  36.  
  37. 3) Choose Help from the System menu to read our comprehen-
  38.    sive online manual.

  41. PACKING LIST  (DISKETTE VERSION)

  43. Your ClockMan distribution diskette contains the following
  44. files:

  46. SETUP.EXE        The ClockMan setup program.
  47. SETUP.INF        A configuration file for SETUP.EXE.
  48. V1.1             A placeholder file that identifies the
  49.                  current version.
  50. CLOKREAD.TXT     This file.
  51. CLOK-CHG.TXT     A list of enhancements and bugfixes since the
  52.                  last release.
  53. CLOCKMAN.INI     The default ClockMan .INI file.  Contains
  54.                  alarm tune definitions.
  55. SAMPLES.ALR      A ClockMan alarm file, filled with sample alarms.
  56. CLOCKMAN.DEU     German language customization file.

  58. SAMPLES.PIF      Sample PIF file for demonstrating DOS keystrokes.

  129.                     EVALUATION AGREEMENT
  130. ===========================================================
  131. Clock Manager ("ClockMan") is not and has never been public
  132. domain software, nor is it free software.  ClockMan is
  133. copyrighted by Graphical Dynamics, Inc.
  134.  
  135. You are granted a limited license to use ClockMan on a
  136. 30-day trial basis for the purpose of determining whether
  137. ClockMan is suitable for your needs.  After this initial
  138. 30-day trial license expires, you must register the program
  139. to continue using it.  The use of unlicensed copies of
  140. ClockMan by any person, business, corporation, government
  141. agency or any other entity is strictly prohibited.
  142.  
  143. A single user license permits a user to use ClockMan only
  144. on a single computer at a time.
  145.  
  146. No one may modify or patch the ClockMan executable files in
  147. any way, including but not limited to decompiling, disas-
  148. sembling, changing the icon or string resources, or
  149. otherwise reverse engineering the program.
  150.  
  151. A limited license is granted to copy and distribute
  152. ClockMan only for the trial use of others, subject to the
  153. above limitations, and also the following:
  154.  
  155. 1) ClockMan must be copied in unmodified form, complete
  156.    with the file containing this license information.
  157.  
  158. 2) The full machine-readable ClockMan documentation must be
  159.    included with each copy.
  160.  
  161. 3) ClockMan may not be distributed in conjunction with any
  162.    other product without a specific license to do so from
  163.    Graphical Dynamics.
  164.  
  165. 4) No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested
  166.    or accepted, except as authorized below:
  167.  
  168.    A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems
  169.       (sysops) may make ClockMan available for downloading
  170.       as long as the above conditions are met.  An overall
  171.       or time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin
  172.       board system is permitted as long as there is not a
  173.       specific charge for the download of ClockMan.

  175.    B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software
  176.       approved by the ASP may distribute ClockMan, subject
  177.       to the above conditions, without specific permission.
  178.       Non-approved vendors may distribute ClockMan only
  179.       after obtaining written permission from Graphical
  180.       Dynamics.  Such permission is usually granted.
  181.       Vendors may charge a reasonable disk duplication and
  182.       handling fee.

  186.                  WARRANTIES AND DISCLAIMERS

  189. LIMITED WARRANTY

  191. Graphical Dynamics guarantees your satisfaction with this
  192. product for a period of 90 days from the date of original
  193. purchase.  If you are unsatisfied with ClockMan within that
  194. time period, return the package in saleable condition to
  195. the place of purchase for a full refund.  Graphical
  196. Dynamics warrants that all disks provided are free from
  197. defects in material and workmanship, assuming normal use,
  198. for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase.
  199.  
  200. Graphical Dynamics warrants that the program will perform
  201. in substantial compliance with the documentation supplied
  202. with the software product.  If a significant defect in the
  203. product is found, you may return the product for a refund.
  204. In no event will such a refund exceed the purchase price of
  205. the product.

  207. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS DISCLAIMS ALL
  208. WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT
  209. LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
  210. FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO THE
  211. PRODUCT.  SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE DEFECTIVE, THE PURCHASER
  212. ASSUMES THE RISK OF PAYING THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY
  213. SERVICING, REPAIR, OR CORRECTION AND ANY INCIDENTAL OR CON-
  214. SEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.  IN NO EVENT WILL GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS BE
  215. LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMIT-
  216. ATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTER-
  217. RUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION AND THE LIKE) ARISING
  218. OUT OF THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT EVEN IF
  219. GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF
  220. SUCH DAMAGES.  THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC
  221. LEGAL RIGHTS.  YOU MAY HAVE OTHERS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE
  222. TO STATE.

  224. Use of this product for any period of time constitutes your
  225. acceptance of this agreement and subjects you to its
  226. contents.  This agreement is governed by the laws of the
  227. State of Washington.

  229. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS

  231. This product is provided with restricted rights.  Use,
  232. duplication, or disclosure by the government is subject to
  233. restrictions set forth in subdivision (c)(1)(ii) of the
  234. Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at
  235. 48 CFR 252.227-7013, or in subdivision (c)(1) and (2) of
  236. the Commercial Computer Software--Restricted Rights clause
  237. at 48 CFR 52.27-19, as applicable.  The contractor/
